The Greatest National Anthem of All-Time

The Greatest National Anthem of All-Time

There were a few great performances in the 1983 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.  Dr. J dropped 25 on his way to earning the MVP.  Larry Bird flirted with a triple double with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists.  On the losing side, Magic had 17 points and 16 assists.  But the most memorable performance was clearly the great Marvin Gaye’s take on the national anthem.  Two things made this rendition the best ever: Gaye’s silky-smooth stamp was all over it, and he actually fucking sang it while he was there.  I don’t think anyone will ever top it.  See for yourself.
